Welcome Home, Holly

Let me tell you a story.

I used to have a website. It was the same as this one, near enough, only it was tired and cluttered. I really liked purple at the time, and I had very little idea how to lay things out to be read beautifully. That, and I wanted it to be all things to all people, so it didn’t really work for anyone.

I fell out of love with it and, shortly afterwards, I fell out of love with writing.

Dear reader, I stopped.

I put my desire to write professionally on hold, placed it all in the back of my mind and meandered through the next two years with no inspiration.

The domain lapsed, the content and work I had put into the site was lost. It didn’t really bother me at the time, but then in all the Coronavirus craziness, I really missed having a place to share my weird shower thoughts that wasn’t just Facebook.

I began to miss writing, and being lost in creating new worlds and revamping old tales. A great big pile of inspiration came knocking at my door, and I had things I wanted to write about again. Not just fiction and games I wanted to run for friends, either, but observations, short tales, and anecdotes.

I thought, “Gosh, I wish I still had my website. I bet I could really make something of it this time.”

So here we are; cleaner, simpler, and with one purpose. I love to write, and I want to pursue my dream to be an author – and this is where I’m going to tell my story. Just my day to day, but with words.

I’m looking forward to telling stories to the world, I do hope you’re sitting comfortably!
